We are very pleased to be associated with New Traditions Machine Quilting located in Birmingham, Alabama. The owner, Lena Colley, became interested in quilting in 1982. She signed up for classes and joined a quilt guild and got hooked for life. Her love affair with the long-arm machine began in 1994 at the Houston Quilt Market. At that time, she worked and taught classes at the local quilt shop. With the purchase of her first Gammill in 1995, New Traditions was born. Today, Lena has two ladies working with her, Angela Taylor and Kathy McConnell. She has three Gammill long-arms that are totally hand guided. Her machines can accommodate a king size spread or a handkerchief sized wall hanging. They offer over 200 pantographs as well as free style designs customized for your quilt.
Because of their excellent workmanship and experience, we chose New Traditions to quilt all of the quilts in our book, String Quilt Revival.
